Follow these steps to connect an analog RGB color monitor

1. Connect either end of the monitor cable to the monitor and tighten the thumbscrews.

2. Connect the other end of the monitor cable to the RGB color monitor port on the Apple IIGS and tighten the thumbscrews.
The RGB color monitor port is marked with the icon of a video screen with three circles.

3. If necessary, plug the monitor's power cord into the monitor.
If your monitor has a built-in power cord, skip to step 4.

4. Plug the three-prong end of the monitor's power cord into a grounded outlet.
When you've connected your monitor, skip ahead to "Connecting Disk Drives."
