Follow these steps to practice scrolling 1. Drag the proportional scroll box In the horizontal scroll bar toward the right. Position the pointer on the scroll box, press and hold down the mouse button, and move the mouse to move the pointer. As you drag, a gray outline moves with the pointer to indicate the new location of the proportional scroll box. When you release the mouse button, the proportional scroll box moves to its new position, and the portion of the directory visible in the window changes. | |||
