Figure 2-24 Initializing a disk If the disk to be initialized is in a UniDisk drive, the dialog box will look slightly different. Don't worry about what's in the two windows of this dialog box. (For a complete explanation of what's in these windows, see Chapter 4 of the Apple IIGS Owner's Reference.) 6 Click the Initialize button. The message "Initializing. . ." appears on the screen, and the pointer changes to a wristwatch symbol while the initialization takes place. When the message disappears and the pointer returns, the disk has been initialized. Note that its icon appears below the System.Disk icon. |
