Figure 2-26 The disk copying dialog box 2. Click OK. As the copying proceeds, you'll see a thermometer indicator to show you the progress of the copying process. If you're using only one disk drive, the Finder will periodically display messages instructing you to swap disks. When a message appears, eject the disk currently in the disk drive by pressing the eject button on the front of the drive. Then insert the disk named in the dialog box and click OK. 3. Open the Practice disk icon to see what's inside. Click the icon to select it, and then choose Open from the File menu. The icon opens into a window. The contents of the Practice window should be identical to the contents of the System.Disk window. 4. Close any System Disk windows. As you go through the rest of this session, you'll want to use the practice copy of the System Disk (not the write-protected original). So you should close any System Disk windows (such as the Tutorial window) now to avoid confusion. Click anywhere in the window to make it active. Then choose Close from the File menu. |
