Unintentional double or triple spacing.

An extra line feed is being inserted by the application, the Control Panel Program, or the printer.

Change the application's line feed setting to OFF, or use the Control Panel Program, explained in Appendix A, to change the line feed setting for the printer port, or turn off the automatic line feed switch on the printer.

Lines are printing on top of each other.

No line feed instruction is being sent to the printer after the carriage return instruction.

Use the Control Panel Program, explained in Appendix A, to add a line feed after the carriage return for the printer port or turn on the automatic line feed switch on the printer.

Your printer doesn't print. (You already checked to make sure the printer is plugged into the computer and a power source.)

The Select button is off.

Turn on the select button.

Your printer doesn't print, and the paper error light is on.

You're out of paper, or paper isn't feeding properly.

Reload the paper and try again.
