As the prior answer saw : what's your config?
I've realized a HD 128 Mo on a GS as follow
1. high speed scsi in slot 4
2. connect a SCSI in an external box
3. run format HD SCSI utility
4. partition (four named /c /d /e /f it's example)
5. put the files
- prodos
- basic system
- and all others you need
6. in your control panel set slot 4 as your card
and boot on this first (optionnal)
7. that's all
With GS/OS it's more easy with install disk and you can use all reasonnable size of the HD
